So, November is National Blog Posting Month. This is an idea that started last year, as an offshoot of the National Novel Writing Month, for those writers in the blogosphere. The idea is that you write at least one blog post a day for the entire month. I'm a couple of days late, but I figured I'd give it a try. I'll just have to make up for it with a couple of extra days at the end. If I can get myself into a regular habit of writing like this, I may just continue this schedule; we'll just have to see what happens.
Why have I decided to do this now, when my blog is still so new, and I haven't been exactly faithful to my intended schedule of every Sunday night? Well, the reason is twofold. First, there's the fact I just stated; that I haven't been following my schedule as well as I would like to. I figure this would just be another incentive to keep up my writing. The second is that I want to become a better writer, and the best way to do that is practice. The more I write, the better my writing will get. Plus, putting my blog out there like this will hopefully draw more readers, which will give me more incentive to write regularly, and also maybe even get some discussions going in my comments. At least maybe something more than my wife replying to one of my brazen comments.
Well, there you have it; the first in thirty straight days (at least) of blog posts. Enjoy!
